Welcome to the Coffs Harbour Steiner High School Initiative's informational web site!! This web site is here as a communications tool for those interested in establishing a Steiner high school in the Coffs Harbour, NSW area (Australia). This is not an official web site, as such, and is not to be mistaken as directly associated with Casuarina Steiner School in Coffs Harbour, at least at this point in time. The group that has formed to work towards a Steiner school in Coffs Harbour is currently made up of parents who have children at Casuarina, some Casuarina teachers, parents of children at Chrysalis Steiner School in Bellingen as well as others who for whatever reason have an interest in establishing a Steiner high school in the Coffs Harbour area. I am making this web site as a bulletin board of sorts for people to request minutes of meetings, for the group to solicit help for specific jobs, to report on outcomes and progress, and for whatever other use we deem fit for it. I've created this site as a volunteer, and though I am a Director on the Board of Directors for the Casuarina Steiner School Cooperative, I am not acting here under the authority of Casuarina Steiner School nor the cooperative itself. I have created this web site as a volunteer so that we have a home on the internet to work from. I will do my best to have the information on this site current, but please phone or email me directly if you want to know more than what you read here. Progress update: 20 February 2008We have proposed to Casuarina's Board of Directors that we want the high school initiative to operate as a sub-committee of the Board of Directors of Casuarina. We are working through details of this charter so that the College, the Board of Directors and the High School Development Sub-Committee all agree on the content. At this stage we are still operating unofficially as a general interest initiative. Our
next meeting will be at 7:00pm, 28 February 2008 at the Casuarina
